| Accountability Polygraph Services, Inc. (hereafter APS, Inc.) was incorporated in
March 1997. We currently employ three full-operating level Colorado Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB) polygraph examiners,
all of which are clinically trained and hold Masters Degrees. The examiners providing polygraphs for our
company are H. Lawson Hagler, MSW, Jason E. Walker, MSW, and Mitchell T. LaCost, MA.
APS, Inc. specializes in administering professional polygraph examinations to alleged and convicted sex
offenders including the administration of maintenance/monitoring, criminal specific, sexual history
examinations, as well as other non-criminal specific issue examinations. Our company provides examinations
statewide and typically conducts more than 1,200 polygraph examinations per year. All of our polygraph
examinations are conducted with state-of-the-art computerized equipment. Additionally, we maintain
compliance with all local and national standards governing the polygraph technique.
All examiners employed by APS, Inc. have administered polygraph examinations to clients referred from Federal,
State, County and private organizations. A majority of these clients are involved in approved Colorado SOMB
treatment programs. A number of these examinations have been conducted within secure juvenile and adult
facilities such as Colorado Youth Services Centers, State and County detention centers, and Federal penal
institutions. At a minimum, these referrals involve collaboration of detention staff persons, therapists,
supervising officers and other administrative personnel. Our highest priority is working within facility
regulation in order to maintain a secure environment.
Each examiner employed by APS, Inc. is a member in good standing of the American Polygraph Association
(APA) and the Colorado Association of Polygraph Examiners (CAPE). Employees have also completed a 40-hour APA
training specific to post-conviction polygraph examinations within their first year of employment. APS, Inc.
is also dedicated to continuing education within the field of polygraph and sex offender assessment, monitoring
and treatment.
